Gemma Huscroft: HR Director

Gemma started her career in HR within the Retail sector, moving to Healthcare, specifically psychiatric hospitals, as HR and Learning and Development Lead. Subsequently, she moved into Education, supporting a growing Trust of Primary and Secondary schools. She has HR exposure in both the private and public sector.
In the role of HR Director, she is the focus for Strategic leadership of HR strategy for the Trust, providing leadership and provision of HR support across all schools.
She works strategically with the CEO, senior leaders and governors across the Trust, driving forward a HR Shared Services department in a growing MAT with the support of two HR Assistants.
Gemma’s role is to provide high quality, legally complaint HR advice, guidance and support to schools, to ensure that appropriate solutions are applied to support the achievement of Trust objectives. She exercises initiative and professional judgement in the development and implementation of employment policies, practices and strategies ensuring that they reflect best practice, legislative requirements and promote diversity, equality and inclusion.
Gemma is qualified in mental health and advocacy in the workplace. Gemma is supported by a team of HR experts..
