Strategy Event proves Collaboration is a Success
Trustees, Governors and Senior Leaders from across the Trust met in July for our annual Strategy Event.
The event combined presentations from our Chair Ian Bond, CEO Janet Sheriff, Director of School Improvement (Primary) Alison Smith, Finance Director Kate Owen and the Headteachers from across the Trust with moments for mixed groups from the Trust to discuss what they could do, individually and collectively, to work across the Trust to embed the success of the last year. Topics covered future strategy, school improvement, the financial landscape and how the Trust collaborates to help schools and colleagues navigate sometimes choppy waters.
Strategic breakout sessions followed, where teams from each school and the Trust came together to take an in depth look at their individual strategic priorities and their development.
The event concluded with a dynamic presentation from Christopher Lillington, Assistant Headteacher at Prince Henry's and lead on the Collaborative Learning Trust's Equality and Diversity Charter. Christopher, who also leads the Red Kite Alliance RED Award for equalities work, spoke passionately about the importance of embedding equality and diversity work at the heart of everything we do. Delegates then wrote individual pledges to show how they would take action to make sure that the Charter is embedded in all areas of our responsibility.
